These are the official match types recognized by FLW President Cliff Young and FLW Commissioner Jesse White. These matches, under most* circumstances, will be sanctioned without much thought due to their adherence to FLW rules and statures. They are as follows:
*Other matches may be sanctioned should the need arise for them to be, such as rivalries that get far too out of control and require a much more "hardcore" or "ultraviolent" solution, but these will be dealt with individually and on a case-by-case basis.
- Standard Match
The FLW standard match type finds more relaxed rulings in regards to weapon usage, normally illegal holds, and whatnot, though this does not mean that they are always allowed. Each match is scheduled for one fall with a 20-count in place for if/when the action spills outside of the ring. - United Forces
FLW's signature tag team division, with its style seen on a mainstream stage via the PWA's United Forces Tournament. Each match is contested under elimination rules, meaning both members of the opposing team must be defeated, and has a unique twist to it: the Initial Tag Period (ITP) and the Tornado Period (TP). The ITP goes by much stricter rulings than regular FLW bouts, seeing all standard rules of the ring (a 5-count for illegal holds, no weapon usages, a strict 20-count for any action outside of the ring, etc.) enforced heavily, requires tags to be made between partners in order for one to legally become involved in the action (a tag is made when the partner inside of the ring makes open-hand contact with their partner on the ring apron while the latter has a hold of the 2-foot tag rope tied to the top turnbuckle), and can range from a solid 5 minutes (for any bout with a 10-15 minute time limit) to a solid 10 minutes (for any bout with a longer time limit). The TP, however, sees all rules thrown out the window as the match no longer has disqualifications or count-out's, allows both members of the team to be in the ring at the same time without any tags, and sees the referee as nothing more than one who counts the pinfalls or registers the submissions (which MUST occur in the ring). - Hollywood Dreams
A match devised by FLA graduate Corey Lazarus, this contest has no time limit, and is instead decided by which competitor can be the first to score 5 points. The point values are as follows: 1 point for a pinfall, 1 point for a submission, and 2 points for a knockout (meaning that the opponent is unable to answer a ten-count). For multi-person matches, the first competitor/team to score 5 points is declared the victor. - Battlefield {insert city of event}
Your standard streetfight, where rules are thrown out the window and the referee exists soley to count the pinfall or register the submission (which MUST occur in the ring).
*Other matches may be sanctioned should the need arise for them to be, such as rivalries that get far too out of control and require a much more "hardcore" or "ultraviolent" solution, but these will be dealt with individually and on a case-by-case basis.
