..::Deadlines::..
For the first three events, the deadline for RP's/match strategies will be two days prior to the card's date and the deadline for matches/on-card promos to be in will be three days following the card's date (due to the dry results being posted). This is to give the match writers plenty of time to write and compile their matches to ensure the highest possible quality of them while also letting the full results be posted in a timely manner. For the fourth and final event, however, the deadlines are tightened. RP and match strategy deadlines are still two days prior to the event's occurance, but the deadlines for matches and on-card promos are the day before. For further explanations, please see the Schedule of Events thread.
..::Writing Guidelines::..
Nobody can tell you what you can and cannot have your character say in their promos. However, keep in mind that the bulk of your RP should be available to be seen by the general public. Murder, the use of hard drugs, rape, explicit sexual situations, and other questionable acts are not to be shown on-air and, thusly, not written about. That is the only content restriction that we follow.
..::Judging Guidelines::..
Some feds prefer story over shoot, others demand shoot and little else, and some others will just look for the more entertaining read. The judges of the FLW United Forces Tournament are instructed to focus on the shoot of the RP, the part where your character actively discusses his/her opponent(s) and the match they are involved, first and foremost. If the story set-up to the RP is great but the shoot itself is poor? Your likelihood of winning is slim. If the opposite is true? Your chances increase. Keep in mind, though, that length doesn't equal quality. A good shoot should be like a mini-skirt: long enough to fully cover the topic but short enough to leave you wanting more.
..::Other Characters::..
Most feds won't allow you to feature another handler's character without their permission. This place is no different. If you'd like to feature another handler's character(s) in your RP? Get their permission and and make sure that I'm notified. If not? Your chances of winning will suffer.
..::Offlinking::..
Offlinking RP's, for those who don't know, is when a handler writes their promo on their own website and posts the link on the forums. If you choose to do this, please include a text copy of your work to accompany the link. Offlinked RP's have a tendency to crash due to exceeding the bandwidth limit or even simple errors like providing the wrong URL, so a text copy is required for proper judging. Thank you.
