((NOTE: The entirety of the 2008 United Forces Tournament took place on the Pioneer Wrestling Association's television and Pay-Per-View programming. As such, some of the rulings were different that year than any other year, including the forthcoming 2011 edition. Two teams were given buys into the quarter-finals, Lunatic Fringe and the Deadpool, on account of them being the PWA World Tag Team champions and #1 contenders, respectively.))

..::Opening Round::..
..::El Rey de Corazones/Circa vs. Matthew "Virus" Engel/Fire::..
McDaniel: It looks like it will be Circa and Fire beginning the match for their respective teams.
Nightmare: This could very well be a continuation of the tag team match we saw at A Farewell to Arms involving these two women along with Psycho Sandra and Sabine.
Fire charges Circa with a running clothesline and takes her opponent down hard. Asai begins stomping away viciously at her downed adversary, but then the Punjabi Princess grabs her foe's leg and twists it around into a grounded ankle lock. Circa stands over her opponent, wrenching viciously on her foot to increase the punishment being dealt to Fire's ankle. Jessica Asai rolls through the move and flips her foe into the ropes. Fire rolls to her feet and nails the Punjabi Princess with a Fire Bomb dropkick that sends her sailing through the ropes to the floor. Jessica smirks but patiently waits inside the ring per Referee Cole Tate's instructions.
Circa gets to her feet and rolls back inside the ring. As the Punjabi Princess kips up, Fire runs in from behind her to hit a chop block to the back of her knee. Jessica Asai drives a toe kick to her adversary's abdomen, doubling her over, then follows up with a simultaneous knee smash to the face and elbow to the back of Circa's neck. Circa drops to the canvas, and Fire goes for the pin.

Kickout!
McDaniel: What a vicious onslaught by Fire!
Nightmare: Yes, that was pretty good, but it's still too early to go for the pin, as Fire just learned.
Jessica Asai glares at the official then executes a flipping leg drop across her opponent. Fire locks in a triangle choke on Circa. The Punjabi Princess fights against the hold, attempting to find some way to escape the submission. She finds none, however. As Circa's eyes begin to close, she desperately reaches for the ropes. She can feel them as her fingertips brush against the ropes, but she can't manage to grab hold of them. Gregory Price hops onto the apron, grabbing Referee Tate's attention. The manager and official begin arguing as Graham Cain moves in to lay out Fire with a huge fist. Unfortunately, the referee turns around just in time to catch this. Referee Cole Tate yells at Cain and Price, motioning to the back.
McDaniel: Could it be? Did the referee just send the Masters to the back??
Nightmare: Yes! He has! Maybe that will teach them not to take shortcuts in these matches!
McDaniel: Oh, you just know Matthew Engel has got to be furious now.
Virus is not the only person mad, however, as Fire and Circa begin exchanging chops. Jessica flips up into the air to blast the Punjabi Princess with an enzuigiri. Asai pulls her foe to her feet and executes a Burning Pools neckbreaker. Fire climbs the ropes. Matthew Engel tries to stop her, but he is blocked by El Rey de Corazones. Fire flies off the top with the Magma Splash, hitting her mark and covering for the pin.

Eric Emerson: Circa has been eliminated!
McDaniel: Virus wastes no time in hitting the ring, quickly trying to even the odds as he shoots a super kick into Fire's face!
Nightmare: That man has such big feet for such a little head.
Matthew Engel executes a German suplex on his opponent, sending her tumbling across the canvas. Engel walks over to pick up his adversary, only to get leveled with a low blow out of view of Referee Cole Tate. Fire rolls to her feet and nails Matthew with a Flamethrower lariat, sending him stumbling back into the corner. Jessica Asai charges in after him, connecting with the Blazing Fury splash. Asai backs up then fires the Scorching Soles superkick at her foe. Virus manages to catch her leg, however, and kicks out her supporting leg. Matthew Engel rolls his opponent over into a high-angle liontamer, pressing his knee into the small of Fire's back.
McDaniel: Punishing move by Matthew Engel there.
Nightmare: You have a real gift for stating the obvious, Jon. Too bad for Engel he's so close to the ropes... and Fire manages to grab them for the break!
Virus doesn't give her a moment to rest, however, as he sends Jessica into the ropes, catching her with a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker. Imploding senton bomb! With a mocking sneer to El Rey, Virus springs to the top turnbuckle and launches himself through the air to perform the Euthanasia to Fire. Referee Tate drops to make the count.

McDaniel: El Rey pulls Fire out of the ring to make the save!
Nightmare: El Rey better keep an eye on Engel. He won't take this well.
Matthew Engel runs to the ropes, springboards off the top rope, and soars outside of the ring to crash into Fire and El Rey with a huge splash. Virus drills El Rey with a snap ddt then throws Fire back inside the ring. Engel dives in after his foe and bounces off the ropes. Blood & Vengeance '77! Matthew covers for the pinfall.

Eric Emerson: Fire has been eliminated!
McDaniel: We're down to the final two of this match.
Nightmare: Figured that one out on your own, did you?
McDaniel: Hey now!
Unseen by Matthew Engel, El Rey de Corazones has climbed to the top turnbuckle. As Virus turns around to find his foe, El Rey flies off with a whisper in the wind that takes Engel off his feet. El Rey rolls right back to his feet, measuring his opponent. When Virus pops to his feet he is taken down by a running faceslam. The King of Hearts pulls his adversary back to his feet and whips him into the ropes. El Rey bounces off the ropes and levels Virus with a lionsault. El Rey de Corazones traps Matthew's arm and applies a standing leg lock. Engel claws for the ropes, but they are just out of reach. Referee Cole Tate asks Virus if he wishes to submit, but he refuses. The King of Hearts continues to work over his opponent's leg.
Suddenly there is a commotion in the crowd as Impulse makes his way to the ring.
McDaniel: What the?! I thought the referee sent the MoA to the back, barring them from ringside.
Nightmare: Almost every member. Impulse wasn't out here then, but he's going to try making his presence felt here now. Excuse me, Jon. I need to deal with this.
Jonathon removes his headset and makes his way around the ring towards Impulse. Impulse pulls the rope out and places it in Engel's reaching hand while Cole Tate is checking on Virus. Impulse gains the referee's attention and calls for the break. Nightmare spins Impulse around and blasts him with a huge uppercut. The two men begin brawling their way through the crowd. Meanwhile, back inside the ring, The King of Hearts and Virus begin trading punches and chops. Engel catches El Rey's fist and slips behind his opponent to lock in a hammerlock before driving an elbow across the back of his foe's neck. Matthew clotheslines El Rey de Corazones to the canvas. Virus goes for a standing moonsault double stomp to his opponent's back, but El Rey rolls out of the way. The King of Hearts tries to sweep Matthew Engel's legs out from under him, but Engel leaps over the sweep, landing a corkscrew elbow drop.
The King of Hearts bullrushes his way back to his feet, driving Matthew Engel into the corner. El Rey de Corazones grabs his adversary's left fist and climbs the turnbuckles, walking along the top rope before dropping an elbow into Engel's hyperextended shoulder. Matthew shouts as he drop to the mat, holding his shoulder. El Rey goes to pull his foe back to his feet, but he is caught with a snap suplex. Engel pushes himself back to his feet then dashes at his adversary, flipping off the ropes with a flying spinning heel kick to his rising foe. The King of Hearts falls back into the turnbuckles. Matthew Engel climbs the ropes to rain fists down onto his opponent.
McDaniel: Referee Cole Tate shouting at Virus to let El Rey out of the corner, but Engel ignores him.... El Rey scoops up Engel and puts him in a torture rack! Backbreaker drop!
Rentfro swaggers down the ramp with a grin, his face covered by lipstick smears.
Rentfro: Hi, Jon. Miss much?
McDaniel: ...yes.
Rentfro: Hehe so did you. The King of Hearts nails Matthew Engel with a heart kick. El Rey de Corazones wraps up his foe in his patented majistral cradle, Horquilla del Corazón.

Engel manages to grab the ropes, and the pinfall is broken. The two wrestlers stand, facing off before laying into one another with stiff chops. Matthew Engel ducks a blow from The King of Hearts to scoop his opponent across his shoulder. El Rey slips free of his opponent's grasp to drive a knee into Engel's abdomen. Tango Pasado del Amor! Virus is planted by a double-underhook ddt!

DING DING
Eric Emerson: Matthew Engel has been eliminated! Your winners and advancing to the second round of the United Forces Tournament... EL REY DE CORAZONES AND FIRE!!!
..::Nightmare/Jason Jones vs. Chamelion/Sean O'Connor::..
The ref makes sure everybody's ready to go, and then calls for the bell.
**DING DING DING**
The match begins with Jones and Sean, as both men are eager to prove themselves to their partners. Sean takes advantage early, working over Jones’ arm and twisting it nearly out of his socket. A quick tag to Chamelion and both men double team Jones, cutting him off in their corner. Nightmare tries to enter, but the ref cuts him off and this allows Sean and Chamelion to do some major damage to Jones body!
McDaniel: Excellent early tag team work by the team of Chamelion and Sean O’Connor.
Rentfro: Ya know that Chamelion has been schooling Sean in how to be a GOOD tag team!
With Chamelion now in the ring, he takes the fight to a new level by executing some high flying moves which wows the crowd, even going so far as to perform a shooting star press! He covers for a two. Pulling Jones up, Chamelion’s eyes go wide as he finds himself doubled over with a kick to the gut. Jones then dives for Nightmare and makes the tag.
McDaniel: Chamelion got too cocky! Jones breaks free and now Nightmare is in the match!
Rentfro: It’s a different story with Nightmare, he can’t be double teamed so easily!
Nightmare, vitalized races in and sends Chamelion down with three quick consecutive clotheslines, rattling the television champion. Pulling him up, Nightmare crashes Chamelion to the canvas with a body slam and then a leg drop. He tries for a cover but gets one.
McDaniel: Too early to go for a pin on someone like Chamelion.
Rentfro: Maybe, but each attempt makes Chamelion waste more energy to kick out!
Both men back up and Chamelion ducks a swing and hits a reverse neck breaker and while Nightmare is down, brings Sean in with a quick tag. Sean curb stomps Nightmare a few times, scoops him up and whips him into the corner. Sean races in for a hard clothesline, but Nightmare avoids it and as Sean bounces out, Nightmare performs a sharp backbreaker and follows with a sunset flip into the turnbuckle.
McDaniel: Nightmare is dominating Sean, teaching him a few things about who Nightmare is!
Rentfro: Sean has a lot to learn, but he is a quick study. It’s just a shame these lessons have to hurt so much.
Sean stumbles back, and Nightmare rolls him up for two. Sean kicks out, but barely and Nightmare quickly follows with a headlock submission, intending to wear down Sean and make him pass out. Chamelion in the corner slaps the turnbuckle to get Sean riled up, and after about a full minute Sean shakes and gets to his feet, elbows Nightmare twice and breaks the hold. He runs to the ropes, bounces off but Nightmare launches forward and both men crash into each other!
McDaniel: Both men down!
Rentfro: It’s just a matter of which one can reach his corner first.
The ref begins the ten count, and both men roll to their corners just before the ten and make hot tags! The crowd roars as Jones and Chamelion rush in, and Chamelion ducks Jones attack, spins and out of no where connects with the Sweet Sound of Success! He covers hooking the leg and scores the three count!
Eric Emerson: Jason Jones has been eliminated!
McDaniel: Out of the blue, just like that Chamelion scores the pin on Jones! WOW!
Rentfro: Just goes to show you how fast the Devious one can stack the deck! It’s now two against one in their favor!
Chamelion jumps up and sees Nightmare and Sean still trying to get their bearings. Quickly, he goes over and checks on Sean to see if he’s okay, while keeping one eye on Nightmare. Once Sean is up and nods he’s okay, Chamelion tags out and tells Sean to finish the job. Sean quickly heads over and pulls Nightmare back into the ring. Sean impresses the crowd by executing an atomic drop, followed by a short arm clothesline, and goes for the pin, but only gets two.
McDaniel: I don’t think it was wise for Chamelion to waste time to get Sean back into the match, he may have been able to take Nightmare out during that lull.
Rentfro: Yet, in this case, with Sean in the ring and Chamelion fresh, they have that advantage!
Smirking at Chamelion for approval, Sean has his head turned as he pulls Nightmare up and that’s his mistake. Nightmare breaks the hold and punches Sean not once, not twice, but three times sending him against the ropes. With a whip, Sean is sent careening across the ring, comes back and a drop kick takes him out! Nightmare then flips to his feet, gives Chamelion his own grin and scoops Sean up and hits the Broken Arrow ! Nightmare covers, but it’s broken up by Chamelion!
McDaniel: VERY CLOSE! Rookie mistake by Sean to turn his attention away from Nightmare.
Rentfro: Chamelion made the save, but will it be enough!?
As the ref tries to push Chamelion back out of the ring, Nightmare growls and picks Sean up for another Broken Arrow , but the count down has begun! Nightmare wraps Sean up, as the buzzer sounds and Chamelion breaks past the ref, now legally in the match and hits the Sweet Sound of Success on Nightmare!
McDaniel: It’s two on one now! Nightmare is going to have to pull a rabbit out of his hat here to win!
Rentfro: He may have to go so far as to pull one out of his ass, what with the competition he has to contend with!
Nightmare falls hard, rolling part way out of the ring and Chamelion drags Sean to his corner. Chamelion turns and goes after Nightmare, picking him up and turning him over for a Tombstone Piled river. However, Nightmare reverses the move and goes to send Chamelion to the canvas, when Sean takes out Nightmare’s leg! Nightmare drops Chamelion and stumbles to the corner. Sean runs in for a splash, hitting it perfectly. As Nightmare falters from the corner, Sean hits a kick to his midsection, wraps his arms around Nightmare’s waist and lifts him up for a power bomb. Nightmare, however, slips free, lands in front of Sean and hits one uppercut, then a kick to the stomach and achieves another Broken Arrow , this time he gets the three count!
Eric Emerson: Sean O’Connor has been eliminated!
McDaniel: How did he do that! After the earlier super kick, Nightmare still keeps his wits about him!
Rentfro: It’s one on one now, but does Nightmare have anything left!?
As Nightmare slowly stands, his energy depleted, he turns right into the Sweet Sound of Success by Chamelion! Chamelion drops and covers and the ref counts three!
McDaniel: It’s over!!! Chamelion strikes with another wicked fast kick!
Rentfro: Still, Nightmare put up a hell of a showing and no shame in losing in this match!
Jumping up, Chamelion raises his arm in victory, but the referee suddenly pulls it down, pointing that Nightmare had his left arm under the bottom rope!
McDaniel: What? Brian, did you see his arm there under the ropes at all?
Rentfro: Honestly, I can’t say, but the ref must have seen it, and it takes away Chamelion’s win! He’s going to have to put another nail in Nightmare’s coffin to finish the job!
Chamelion blinks, shocked, because he could swear he’d had Nightmare wrapped up better then that! He turns to the ref, angrily arguing the point! As they argue, Nightmare wobbles to his feet and stumbles towards Chamelion. However, sensing his presence, Chamelion whiles and lashes out with another Sweet Sound of Success! Nightmare ducks the kick and as Chamelion drops back to his own two feet, Nightmare grabs him from behind and hits a back cracker!
McDaniel: OUCH! That’s a wicked move!
Rentfro: And Nightmare is fighting exhaustion as well as Chamelion now, so it’s back to two on one in a way!
With Chamelion down hard, Nightmare hurries over and mounts the top turnbuckle. He measures and sails with a frog splash attempt, but Chamelion gets his knees up and the impact takes Nightmare’s breath away! He rolls painfully as Chamelion rights himself. Shaking his head to clear the dizziness, Chamelion watches Nightmare get to his feet and then rushes in and spears Nightmare hard, taking him down! Grinning wickedly, Chamelion signals to the crowd it’s over. He picks up Nightmare and hooks him up for the Mimic (Nightmare’s Broken Arrow ). Nightmare slips his arms free at the last second, grabs Chamelion’s legs and pulls him off his center of balance. As Chamelion lands on his back, Nightmare holds the legs and flips over him, locking Chamelion into a pin and the ref slaps the canvas three times!
DING DING DING!
Eric Emerson: Chamelion has been eliminated! The winners of the match, and advancing in the United Forces Tournament… Nightmare and Jason Jones!
McDaniel: What a reversal! Nightmare’s quick thinking gets the win!
Rentfro: I gotta admit, that was one hell of a match!
As Nightmare gets his arm raised in victory, Chamelion stands and blinks a few times, breathing heavily. Both men look at each other, and Chamelion sighs, shrugs and extends his hand. The two shake and the crowd responds with a roar of approval. Chamelion exits the ring while Nightmare celebrates for a few.

Chamelion exits the ring while Nightmare celebrates for a few.
..::Corey Lazarus/Kumquat Kid vs. Mr. Hardcore/Moke Doshky::..
Aquabats' "Look at Me, I'm a Winner" {Kumquat Kid's theme} dies down, and the referee calmly explains the rules to Lewis, Lazarus, Hardcore, and Doshky, and then directs all four men to their respective corners. The ref signals for the bell, and Emerson takes a seat in his position, tapping the timekeeper on the shoulder before pointing to the ref.
**DING DING DING**
Corey steps into the center of the ring as Kumquat looks on, a little confused, but he then shrugs his shoulders and steps onto the apron. Corey tosses the red t-shirt Lewis gave him into his corner and stretches his limbs out, jogging in place, as Doshky and Hardcore just bicker back and forth over who should start the match.
McDaniel: And already tonight, in this unique tournament, we've seen some exciting matches, and this one promises to be just as surprising as the others.
Rentfro: Indeed! I may give him credit when he's due, but have I told you about how great it's going to feel when Corey Lazarus gets bested by two men he considers complete jokes?
McDaniel: Impariality called. She misses you.
The referee goes over to make sure that MH and Doshky are aware of the rules, but the two continue to bicker. He shrugs, and then starts the count as Corey looks on, amused by it all.
Ref: 1!

Doshky shoves Hardcore out of the ring via between the top and middle ropes, and MH saves himself from landing on the floor by grasping ahold of the top rope, landing on his ass on the apron. He pulls himself to his feet and goes to enter the ring, but the referee gets in his face, warning him of the possible disqualification.
McDaniel: And it looks like Mr. Hardcore needs to be reminded of the rules already, and the match is only a few seconds old.
Rentfro: Well, with a name like that, I don't think you earn a living by abiding by all of the rules and regulations.
Corey readies himself as Doshky slowly turns, and then immediately attacks the big man with a pair of forearms to the skull as the fans pop. Doshky, slightly dazed, makes it easy for Laz to whip him into the ropes. Corey leapfrogs over the behemoth, and Moke rebounds off of the opposite set of ropes. Corey drops down, trying to trip him up, but Moke steps over him, hitting the ropes again. Corey feigns a dropkick attempt, but Moke holds on to the top rope, and Lazarus lands on his feet. Doshky charges with a clothesline attempt, but Corey ducks under it, hooking his arm before swinging his legs over, wrapping them around his other arm, and then dragging him down with a crucifix pin.
1!
Rentfro: Ha! Only a 1-count!
McDaniel: Doshky kicks out with authority, and it looks as if Mr. Hardcore can't wait to get right into the ring.
Corey rolls away as Doshky fires back to his feet, and Lazarus just barely dodges a huge right hook by the big man. Moke turns around with the momentum, and then knocks Corey down with a backhand punch to the side of the head. Lazarus collapses, grabbing the side of his head, and then rolls out of the ring, taking a few steps towards his corner to catch his breath. Moke backs up into his corner to converse with Strickland on the outside, and Mr. Hardcore uses this opportunity to tag himself in. The ref acknowledges the tag, and Hardcore charges towards Corey. Lazarus ducks down to avoid any top attempt, but Hardcore slides under the bottom rope, reeling back his right hand. Corey stands up and turns, only to get knocked flat on his back with a huge right hook.
McDaniel: And the action has already spilled to the outside, which is not where most would like to find themselves!
Rentfro: And then there's Mr. Hardcore, who lives in PHILLY, so if anybody knows his way around the outside of a ring, it's him.
McDaniel: Don't forget that Corey Lazarus has been in several hardcore brawls of his own.
Rentfro: So have Kumquat Kid and Moke Doshky, but I don't see you sticking up for them!

Kumquat Kid readies himself on the apron as MH puts the boots to Corey, and then Hardcore looks up, only to be met with a flying dropkick off of the apron by Lewis. MH flies back into the ringsteps from the impact, and KK lands on his feet, quickly jumping back onto the apron.
McDaniel: And a missle dropkick off of the apron neutralizes Mr. Hardcore!
Rentfro: The ref tries to disqualify Mr. Hardcore for just trying to get into the ring earlier, but that happens and he doesn't do anything about it? I call shenanigans!
Ref: 4!

Corey slides into the ring as Hardcore rolls in, and both men get to their feet at the same time. KK begins jumping up and down on the apron, begging for a tag. Corey looks over to him, and then back at Hardcore as he walks into the middle of the ring, holding up both fists, ready to fight. Laz shrugs, and then goes to tag Lewis in, but then turns around and charges Mr. Hardcore, taking him down with a double kneelift to the chest that sends him back into his corner. KK looks on, confused, and Corey takes a quick bow as fans chant.
Fans: L-A-Z!! L-A-Z!!
Corey gets back to his feet, holding his arms out to his sides, and then turns around, basking in the adulation. Doshky grabs MH's wrist and then forces a tag, stepping into the ring quick. Doshky connects with a running shoulderblock that sends Corey down to the mat - HARD - before bringing the former World champion back to his feet.
McDaniel: And it looks like Corey just ran head-on into a brick wall!
Moke whips Laz into the ropes, and then lifts him up high above his head, dropping him throat-first across the top rope. Corey bounces off, grabbing his throat, and then crawls away into his corner, tagging in Kumquat Kid. The fans cheer again as the former Grizzly Beer champion steps into the ring, and Lazarus rolls onto the apron, catching his breath as he pulls himself to his feet.
Fans: VIVA LA KUMQUAT!! **clap, clap, clapclapclap** VIVA LA KUMQUAT!! **clap, clap, clapclapclap**
Rentfro: Oh man, I'm really starting to dislike these fans and their so-called "clever" chants.
McDaniel: Like it or not, these fans keep us in business, so they can cheer for whoever they want, whenever they want.
Rentfro: Whatever you say, you cowboy hat-wearing video game announcer.
McDaniel: I don't wear a cowboy hat...
Lewis dances a little bit in place as Moke looks on, unamused, and then the two circle each other. Moke rushes in for a tie-up, but Kumquat ducks under his arms and nails a pair of forearms to the kidneys before backing off. He laughs a little as Doshky turns, rubbing his lower back, and Lewis just dances a little bit more in place. Moke goes in for another tie-up, but Lewis ducks under his arms again, this time nailing a mid-dropkick to Moke's lower back, sending him chest-first into a neutral corner. Doshky turns and Lewis charges in, but Moke catches his Corner Avalanche attempt and slams him down with a massive spinebuster.
Rentfro: BAM! He shook the ring with that one!
McDaniel: Massive spinebuster from Moke Doshky, and the cover...
Moke drops down and hooks a leg.

2!!
The Kumquat Kid kicks out right after 2, and Moke simply ignores any amount of frustration he may have, standing up. He stomps on Ryan's ribs, and then grabs a handful of his hair, ripping him off of the canvas and to his feet.
McDaniel: The ref warning Moke to let go of Lewis's hair.
Rentfro: And Doshky with a few huge right hands...
Corey claps his hands, cheering on Lewis from the apron, and Moke whips him into the ropes. KK ducks a big boot attempt, and hits the ropes again. Moke turns around, but Kumquat leaps up, looking for a hurricanrana.
Rentfro: Ha! Did you see that? Doshky reversed the hurricanrana into a powerbo...!
McDaniel: The Kumquat Kid flips over and lands on his feet, off the ropes...SPINNING HEEL KICK SENDS DOSHKY DOWN!!
Doshky pulls himself to his feet with the ropes, and Lewis nails a running Yakuza Kick that nearly sends him over the top rope, but Moke uses his weight to keep himself in the ring. KK hits the ropes, looking for another one, but Doshky grabs him by the foot, spins him around, and then levels him with a lariat. He lifts Lewis back to his feet, whips him into the corner, and then charges in with a big corner clothesline. Mr. Hardcore reaches forward and tags himself in, and the ref acknowledges it as Moke looks on, displeased.
Ref: Get out of the ring! 1! 2! 3!
Hardcore grabs KK by the wrist and twists his arm before driving an elbow into his shoulder, dropping him to a knee. Lewis slaps his shoulder to get the feeling into it, and Hardcore takes this opportunity to nail a few soccer kicks to KK's ribs. Lewis gasps for air, the wind knocked out of him, and Hardcore drives his elbow into Kumquat's shoulder again.
Rentfro: And Mr. Hardcore showing off his technical abilities here, folks.
MH looks over at Laz and then gives him the middle finger, trying to draw him into the ring, but nothing happens. Corey just looks on, studying the match itself.
McDaniel: It's as if Hardcore is simply in this match to draw the ire of Corey Lazarus.
Rentfro: Well, when you're in a match with the former World champion, that suddenly makes him the biggest dog in the yard, so of course you try to take him out, even if it's just mentally.
Eric Emerson: 1 minute remains of the initial tag period!
Rentfro: Wow...that was the shortest 5 minutes of my life!
Mr. Hardcore whips Kumquat into the ropes, and then goes for a back body drop, but Kumquat kicks him in the jaw. Hardcore's head pops up, and Lewis whips him into the ropes himself. Hardcore rebounds, and KK lifts him up with a flapjack, slamming him face and chest-first to the canvas. He rolls Hardcore over and hooks a leg, but MH kicks out before the ref can even slap the mat the first time. Lewis brings MH to his feet and whips him into his corner, and Corey holds up his hands to show that he's staying away from him. KK scoops Mr. Hardcore up and then locks him in the corner in a Tree of Woe, backing up to the center of the ring and facing Moke. Laz holds MH's legs still, and Lewis cups his hands around his mouth, a human megaphone.
Kumquat Kid: VIVA LA KUMQUAT!!
Lewis turns around and charges towards MH, leaping forward with a dropkick right to his crotch. He gets back to his feet and pulls Hardcore off of the ropes, climbing up top himself. Corey tags KK's shin and then steps into the ring. Kumquat, oblivious, flies off of the top rope with a backflip, coming down with his chest across Mr. Hardcore's.
Ref: Alright, I saw the tag! 1! 2!
Lewis, confused, backs up to the ropes and then steps out onto the apron as Laz measures the now-rising Mr. Hardcore.
Eric Emerson: 10! 9! 8!
Mr. Hardcore rises to his feet, holding his ribs, and faces Kumquat. He then turns, his face showing surprise as Corey leaps forward, drilling him with an incredible stiff leaping Enziguri.
Eric Emerson: 7! 6!
McDaniel: End Credits! Laz hit the End Credits!
Corey quickly covers Mr. Hardcore, hooking both of his legs as the ref drops down for the count.

Moke sticks his foot into the ring, and then charges into the ring towards his being-pinned partner.

**DING**
Moke's too late, but he dives atop Lazarus anyway, hammering him with clubbing rights and lefts. Mr. Hardcore, crushed beneath the two, can only gasp for whatever air he can manage to pull into his lungs.
Rentfro: And now Moke's all by himself, which may actually be to his complete advantage!
McDaniel: How so?
Eric Emerson: The Initial Tag Period is over, and Mr. Hardcore has been eliminated! All remaining competitors in the match may now enter!
Rentfro: Well, before Emerson so rudely interrupted me with that obvious announcement, I was going to say that Moke may be more dangerous now, because now he's cornered via the numbers game. He's going to be on an adrenaline rush, and you don't want a man who weighs roughly what you AND your partner weigh COMBINED going crazy in the middle of the ring, with only the two of you as potential victims.
Kumquat leaps over the top rope and nails a somersault senton across Doshky's back, causing him to roll off of Corey. Mr. Hardcore rolls out of the ring, collapsing into a heap as he gasps for breath, holding the back of his head. Lazarus reaches the ropes, trying to pull himself to his feet, and reveals a fresh gash just above his left eyebrow.
McDaniel: And Laz is busted open!
Lewis runs in and stomps on Moke, grabbing the behemoth by the mohawk to bring him to his feet. Lazarus pulls himself up to his feet in the corner, wiping blood from his brow, and KK whips Moke into the opposite corner. He charges in with his arms raised for a double axehandle, but Doshky boots him in the gut, sending him back and dropping to all-four's, trying to find where the wind went that was knocked out of him.
Rentfro: See? Doshky's not to be counted out, not in the least.
Doshky steps out from the corner, and Lazarus charges, using the bent-over Kumquat Kid as a springboard. He leaps off of KK's back, delivering a flying back elbow to Doshky that sends him back into the corner, while Corey has to grab ahold of the top rope to prevent himself from flying out of the ring. Corey throws a high roundhouse kick to Doshky's head, dazing him, and then tries to lift him onto the top rope.
McDaniel: Air Hollywood lands successfully! Corey looking to get something going with Doshky on the top...
Rentfro: But Moke fires back with a double axehandle, and...MOKEY SQUASH!! MOKEY SQUASH!!
Moke lifts Corey up into his patented Bearhug, carelessly whipping him around like a ragdoll while squeezing the air out. Kumquat gets up, and then hits a few kicks to Moke's knee, trying to break it up, but Doshky just boots KK away, wrenching it in even tighter.
Rentfro: Haha, yes! Moke's got the Mokey Squash locked in firmly! It's only a matter of time before Corey has to tap!
Corey refuses to tap, barely able to even muster the energy to lift his hand up, and Moke then drops him to the mat on his feet. Doshky quickly lifts Lazarus high above his head with a Gorilla Press, and then drops him face-first across his knee. Lazarus flies off from the impact, and Doshky immediately covers, hooking both legs.
McDaniel: Blitzkrieg! 1!
Rentfro: 2!!
Kumquat dives in with a leaping elbow drop for the save...
3!!!
**DING**
Eric Emerson: Corey Lazarus has been eliminated!
McDaniel: This just leaves a former Tag champion, and one of the biggest men to ever set foot in a PWA ring, and the former Grizzly Beer champion...
Rentfro: I have to say that I don't think that the odds are exactly in Ryan Lewis's favor right now!
Lewis kicks away at Doshky, but Moke just catches a kick and then lifts Ryan up, nailing a massive spinebuster.
Rentfro: Haha! It looks like Doshky has this one right in his pocket!
Moke crosses his arms in front of his chest, and then quickly throws them apart towards either of his sides, shaking his head slowly from side to side. He then points up to the air as he walks over to the corner, while Kumquat scrambles on the mat, holding his lower back.
McDaniel: And Doshky's going up top...
Moke steps off of KK as the ref checks on him, and then holds an arm up in the air, victorious. Lewis suddenly rolls into the corner, behind Doshky, and forces himself up, shaking the top rope. Moke gets crotched, his eyes piercing the crowd with sudden stabbing pain in his nethers, and KK drops to a knee, catching his breath.
McDaniel: And it didn't quite work out as well as Moke wanted!
Rentfro: That's...that's gotta be illegal somehow, right?
McDaniel: Even if it were, a United Forces match after the initial tag period is no DQ!
Ryan grabs Moke by the back of the head and pulls him back, locking on an inverted front facelock. He gets ahold of the waistband of Doshky's tights, and then gives him a vicious high-angle inverted DDT back to the mat. Lewis, riding the adrenaline rush, pops back to his feet and points to the sky, climbing the corner and turning around once up top.
Rentfro: And Moke's in for it now!
Kumquat stands up straight, gives a quick salute to a fan in the front row wearing a "VIVA LA KUMQUAT" shirt, and then leaps off high into the sky, bringing his arms and legs in quick before shoving them back out for added velocity, slamming down across Moke's torso with his own.
McDaniel: FIVE ALIVE FROG SPLASH!!

**DING DING DING**
Rentfro: One can only wonder why Moke went up top when he had the match won on his feet.
McDaniel: Good question, Brian.
Kumquat raises his arms up as "Look at Me, I'm a Winner" comes back up on the PA system. He rolls out of the ring and quickly checks on Corey, who seems surprised that Lewis could pull it off.
Eric Emerson: The winners of the match, and advancing to the second round of the United Forces tournament, the team of "THE KUMQUAT KID" RYAN LEWIS and COREY LAZARUS!!!
**DING DING DING**
Corey steps into the center of the ring as Kumquat looks on, a little confused, but he then shrugs his shoulders and steps onto the apron.
1!
2!!
3!!!
